- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is fully cooked, draining any excess fat.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes evenly at the bottom.
- Spread the cooked beef mixture on top of the potatoes.
- Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the beef layer.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for approximately 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat to 165°F (74°C).
