Homemade Baked Chicken Tenders

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Poultry

Description

Delicious homemade baked chicken tenders that are crispy, flavorful, and a healthier alternative to fried options.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Set up a breading station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
  3. Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, followed by the egg, then coat each with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Place the coated chicken tenders on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Lightly spray the tenders with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider double-breading the chicken strips. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
