  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Fluffy, buttery homemade biscuits that are quick and budget-friendly, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold, cubed butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk gradually, mixing just until combined. Avoid over-mixing!
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface. Gently knead it just a few times.
  6. Roll out the dough to about 1 inch thick. Use a biscuit cutter to cut into rounds.
  7. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

Feel free to substitute whole wheat flour for a nuttier flavor or almond milk for a dairy-free option! Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
