  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons garlic butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and salt.
  2. Gradually pour in the warm water and olive oil while mixing until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise until it doubles in size—about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Roll the risen dough out into a rectangle and transfer it to a greased baking sheet.
  7. Brush the surface of the dough with melted garlic butter and sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. If you like, add dried Italian herbs for extra flavor.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  10. Once cooked, let it cool slightly before cutting into sticks and serving warm.
