Ingredients

			- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - Cocoa powder, for coating
 - Chopped nuts or sprinkles, for topping (optional)
 
Instructions
- Chop the chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.
 - In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it simmers.
 - Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and allow it to sit for 5 minutes.
 - Add the vanilla extract and stir until smooth and glossy.
 - Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours until firm.
 - Once set, form small balls from the mixture.
 - Roll the truffles in cocoa powder or your choice of toppings.
 - Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
