Description

A rich and creamy homemade hot chocolate mix that’s perfect for warming up on cold days and ideal for gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (200g) powdered sugar
  • 1 cup (90g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups (240g) dry milk powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (100g) powdered coffee creamer (optional)
  • ½ cup (100g) mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • ½ cup (50g) mini marshmallows (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, sift together powdered sugar, cocoa powder, dry milk powder, and salt.
  2. Stir in the powdered coffee creamer and mini chocolate chips (if using).
  3. Transfer the mix to an airtight container or mason jar.
  4. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 3 months.
  5. To prepare, heat 1 cup of milk or water until steaming.
  6. Stir in 3 tablespoons of the hot chocolate mix until fully dissolved.
  7. Top with mini marshmallows or whipped cream and enjoy!

Notes

Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of powdered sugar. For a richer mix, consider increasing cocoa powder or adding melted chocolate when preparing.
