Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of milk (or your favorite non-dairy alternative)
  • 1 chai tea bag (or 2 teaspoons of loose chai tea)
  • 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Warm your milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it’s steamy but not boiling.
  2. Steep the chai tea bag (or loose tea) for about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bag and whisk in the maple syrup along with the spices and vanilla.
  4. Pour into a delightful mug and add a dollop of whipped cream if you’re feeling fancy.
  5. Savor your creation before diving in.

Notes

For a frothy latte, consider using a whisk or frother to aerate your milk after warming.
