Deliciously cheesy and customizable, these homemade pizza pockets are perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a fun snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell peppers (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Olive oil (for brushing)
  • Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into rectangles about 4×6 inches.
  3. On one side of each rectangle, add a spoonful of pizza sauce, then sprinkle on mozzarella cheese, followed by pepperoni and additional toppings as desired.
  4. Fold the dough over to create a pocket and seal the edges using a fork.
  5. Place the pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the tops with a beaten egg and sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For an extra crispy crust, use a preheated pizza stone and ensure tight sealing to prevent leaks.
