  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch (optional, for thickening the sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (for seasoning)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper (for seasoning)
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and optional ginger. Set aside a small amount for glazing later if desired.
  2. Marinate the chicken in the mixture for at least 30 minutes—longer for more intense flavor.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook until browned, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  4. If using cornstarch, mix it with a little water, then add to the reserved marinade and bring it to a boil in the skillet. Stir until thickened.
  5. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and simmer for a few more minutes to absorb flavors.
  6. Garnish with green onions before serving.
