  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken pieces generously with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter. Once hot, sauté the chicken until it’s cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, then add honey, soy sauce, and crushed red pepper flakes. Simmer until the mixture thickens slightly.
  6. Return the chicken to the pan and stir well to coat with the sauce.
  7. Mix in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is creamy and combined.
  8. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, ensuring everything is evenly mixed.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and additional grated cheese if desired. Serve hot!

Notes

For a plant-based version, substitute the chicken with tofu. Marinate the chicken for added flavor and adjust the spice level to your preference.
