  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings
  • Diet: Carnivore

Description

Elevate your dining experience with perfectly cooked, juicy steaks right from your oven.

Ingredients

  • Steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or filet mignon)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil or butter
  • Garlic (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  3. Generously season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat a skillet over high heat, then add a drizzle of olive oil or a pat of butter.
  5. Sear the steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side until a beautifully browned crust forms.
  6. If using garlic or herbs, toss them into the skillet at this stage for added aroma.
  7. Transfer the skillet to your preheated oven and cook for an additional 6-10 minutes, depending on your desired doneness.
  8. Once finished, remove the steaks from the oven and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with garlic mashed potatoes or roasted asparagus for a classic meal. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
