Ina Garten’s Chocolate Brownie Pudding

Description

A warm, fudgy dessert that combines rich brownie and gooey pudding for a decadent treat.


Ingredients

  • ½ pound (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon espresso powder (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar for about 5–10 minutes until the mixture is pale and thick.
  3. Stir in the melted butter and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Sift together cocoa powder, flour, espresso powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gently fold this dry mixture into the egg mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  7. To create a water bath, place your baking dish inside a larger pan and pour hot water around it to about halfway up the sides.
  8. Bake for 55–65 minutes until the top is set and crisp while the center remains soft.
  9. Allow to sit for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or fresh berries for an extra treat.
