  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 8 cups Day-Old Bread, cubed
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Blueberries
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Whipped Cream, for serving (optional)
  • Additional Maple Syrup, for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the sweet maple sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in the day-old bread cubes and let them soak for about 10 minutes.
  5. Fold in the cooked sausage, shredded cheese, blueberries, and pecans.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the center is set and the top is golden.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
