Description

A quick and flavorful Instant Pot Chicken Breast recipe that results in tender, juicy chicken perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional: cornstarch for thickening gravy

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Set Instant Pot to ‘Sauté’ mode, add olive oil and heat.
  3. Add chicken breasts to pot and brown on both sides for 2-3 minutes each.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and close the lid.
  5. Set Instant Pot to manual high pressure and cook chicken for 10 minutes.
  6. Allow for a natural release for 5 minutes before quick-releasing remaining pressure.
  7. Remove chicken breasts and set aside to rest.
  8. For gravy, return Instant Pot to ‘Sauté’ mode, mix in cornstarch if desired, and cook until thickened.
  9. Serve chicken with gravy over the top.

Marinate chicken for extra flavor; searing after pressure cooking adds crispiness.
