- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: cornstarch for thickening gravy
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Set Instant Pot to ‘Sauté’ mode, add olive oil and heat.
- Add chicken breasts to pot and brown on both sides for 2-3 minutes each.
- Pour in the chicken broth and close the lid.
- Set Instant Pot to manual high pressure and cook chicken for 10 minutes.
- Allow for a natural release for 5 minutes before quick-releasing remaining pressure.
- Remove chicken breasts and set aside to rest.
- For gravy, return Instant Pot to ‘Sauté’ mode, mix in cornstarch if desired, and cook until thickened.
- Serve chicken with gravy over the top.
