Description
A quick and savory dish featuring chicken in a sweet honey and garlic sauce, perfect for family dinners or meal prep.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish (optional)
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until blended.
- Place the chicken in the Instant Pot, pouring the sauce over it to coat thoroughly.
- Secure the lid and set the Instant Pot to cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
- After cooking, allow for a natural release for 5 minutes, then manually release any remaining pressure.
- Carefully remove the chicken and set it aside. Switch the Instant Pot to sauté mode and let the sauce thicken for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve the chicken drizzled with the sauce, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
Substituting chicken thighs for breasts can add juiciness. Use low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier option.
