  • Total Time: 45
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Delightful twist on classic cinnamon rolls, these bliss bars feature fluffy layers and rich cream cheese frosting, perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
  • 1½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 23 tablespoons milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well until combined.
  4. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually incorporate these dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, until just combined.
  5. Spread half of the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  6. Combine the packed brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Stir in the melted butter until well mixed. Drop spoonfuls of this cinnamon-sugar mixture over the base batter.
  7. Top with the remaining batter and use a knife to swirl the cinnamon mix into the batter for a marbled effect.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the bars cool completely on a wire rack.
  9. Beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Gradually add milk until you achieve a spreadable frosting consistency.
  10. Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled bars, cut into squares, and serve.

Notes

To enjoy these bars, serve warm with a drizzle of extra frosting or dust with powdered sugar. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or fresh fruit.
