- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Mix them well.
- Gradually add the warm water and olive oil. Stir until a dough begins to form.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough into a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
- Once risen, punch down the dough and fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and finely chopped jalapeños.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let it rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Allow the bread to cool before slicing.
Notes
Store in an airtight container or wrap in plastic wrap at room temperature for up to 3 days. Can be frozen for longer storage.
