Description

Delicious bite-sized truffles combining classic tiramisu flavors of coffee, chocolate, and creamy mascarpone.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, melted
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  2. Gently fold in the cooled espresso and coffee liqueur (if using).
  3. Add the chocolate cookie crumbs and mix until well combined.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes until firm.
  5. Once firm, scoop out tablespoon-sized balls and roll them into truffles.
  6. Dip each truffle in melted dark chocolate, then place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Refrigerate again until the chocolate sets.
  8. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
