- 1 lb Lump Crab Meat
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup Sour Cream
- 1 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
- 1/4 cup Chives, freshly chopped
- 1 large Egg
- 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat a skillet over medium heat for frying.
- In a large bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and egg until smooth.
- Gently fold in the lump crab meat, chives, and Old Bay seasoning.
- Add in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until evenly distributed.
- Shape the mixture into small, uniform bites or patties.
- Roll each cake in the panko breadcrumbs to coat completely.
- Place the crab cakes on a greased baking sheet or in the skillet once hot. Bake for about 20 minutes or fry until golden brown and crispy, usually about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve hot with the zesty lemon-dill sauce on the side.
Notes
For best results, chill the crab mixture for 30 minutes before shaping. Optionally, substitute fresh ingredients for a tangy twist.
