- 1 can young jackfruit in water
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- Your favorite vegan wing sauce
Instructions
- Drain and rinse the jackfruit, then cut it into manageable pieces.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth to make the batter.
- Dip each piece of jackfruit into the batter, ensuring it’s well coated, then roll it in breadcrumbs for an extra crunch.
- In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat until hot.
- Carefully add the coated jackfruit wings, frying them for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown on all sides.
- Remove the wings from the oil and place them on paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- Toss the wings in your favorite vegan wing sauce and serve immediately.

For a gluten-free option, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free variety.
