A rich and creamy casserole combining shredded chicken, garlic, and mushrooms, perfect for a cozy meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (cremini or button recommended)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cheese (cheddar or mozzarella, shredded)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic and sauté until the mushrooms are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, sautéed mushrooms and garlic, heavy cream, shredded cheese, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into a casserole dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and has a golden top.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, serve warm, and enjoy!

Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
