Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add the ground beef and break it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 6–8 minutes until the beef is deeply browned.
  3. Push the beef to one side and add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for 3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in the broccoli florets and sauté for about a minute.
  5. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, mixing thoroughly.
  6. Cover the skillet and allow the mixture to cook for 5–7 minutes until the broccoli is tender yet crisp.
  7. Reduce the heat to low, pour in the heavy cream, and stir gently.
  8. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and cover for 2–3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  9. If using, drizzle Worcestershire sauce and sprinkle red pepper flakes over the cheese.
  10. Remove from heat and serve hot.

Notes

Can be paired with a side salad or cauliflower rice. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to a month.
