- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
- Add the ground beef and break it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 6–8 minutes until the beef is deeply browned.
- Push the beef to one side and add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for 3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the broccoli florets and sauté for about a minute.
- Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, mixing thoroughly.
- Cover the skillet and allow the mixture to cook for 5–7 minutes until the broccoli is tender yet crisp.
- Reduce the heat to low, pour in the heavy cream, and stir gently.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and cover for 2–3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- If using, drizzle Worcestershire sauce and sprinkle red pepper flakes over the cheese.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
Notes
Can be paired with a side salad or cauliflower rice. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to a month.
