- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lettuce leaves (for wrapping, butter or romaine works)
- Olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, sautéing until they soften (about 5-7 minutes).
- Push the sautéed vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the ground meat. Cook until browned, seasoning with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Once the meat is fully browned, combine it with the veggies and sprinkle in the shredded cheese. Stir until it melts and becomes gooey.
- Spoon the cheesy mixture onto lettuce leaves and roll them up tightly.
- Serve immediately to enjoy them at their freshest!
