Description

A low-carb, flavorful twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, wrapped in fresh lettuce leaves.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey)
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese (or provolone or Swiss)
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 large lettuce leaves (for wrapping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground meat until it’s browned and fully cooked through.
  3. Add diced bell peppers and onions, cooking until they soften.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and black pepper for flavor.
  5. Lay out your lettuce leaves and spoon the meat mixture onto each leaf, topping it with a sprinkle of Monterey Jack cheese.
  6. Roll the lettuce leaves tightly and use toothpicks to secure them if necessary.
  7. Place the rolls on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy every bite!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best results.
