  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Omnivore

Description

A comforting dish that combines the flavors of a cheeseburger with hearty pasta, featuring crispy bacon and melty cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, keeping the grease in the skillet.
  3. Add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic to the skillet; cook until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in the beef broth, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and mix well. Gradually stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Plate the pasta and top with crispy bacon and optional green onions.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, substitute the pasta. You can also use ground turkey for a lighter dish.
