- 8 ounces pasta (penne or rotini)
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, keeping the grease in the skillet.
- Add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic to the skillet; cook until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the beef broth, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
- Add the cooked pasta and mix well. Gradually stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
- Plate the pasta and top with crispy bacon and optional green onions.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, substitute the pasta. You can also use ground turkey for a lighter dish.
