  • 1/2 cup freshly grated cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices bacon, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped (reserve half for garnish)
  • Sour cream (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the tater tots’ package instructions—I recommend 425°F for 28 minutes.
  2. Bake the tater tots on a baking sheet, turning them halfway through for even crispiness.
  3. Remove the tots from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes until they’re easier to handle.
  4. Thread 4 to 6 tater tots onto each skewer.
  5. Arrange the skewers on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle each skewer generously with freshly grated cheddar cheese, followed by the chopped bacon and half of the green onions.
  7. Return to the oven for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, until the cheese is melty and delicious.
  8. Finish by removing the skewers from the oven and garnishing with the remaining green onions.
  9. Serve with a side of sour cream for dipping.
