- 48 frozen tater tots
- 1/2 cup freshly grated cheddar cheese
- 8 slices bacon, finely chopped
- 2 green onions, chopped (reserve half for garnish)
- Sour cream (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the tater tots’ package instructions—I recommend 425°F for 28 minutes.
- Bake the tater tots on a baking sheet, turning them halfway through for even crispiness.
- Remove the tots from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes until they’re easier to handle.
- Thread 4 to 6 tater tots onto each skewer.
- Arrange the skewers on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Sprinkle each skewer generously with freshly grated cheddar cheese, followed by the chopped bacon and half of the green onions.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, until the cheese is melty and delicious.
- Finish by removing the skewers from the oven and garnishing with the remaining green onions.
- Serve with a side of sour cream for dipping.
