Description

  • 1/2 cup freshly grated cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices of bacon, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sour cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and bake the tater tots according to the package instructions, about 28 minutes total, flipping halfway for even crisping.
  2. Allow them to cool for a few minutes.
  3. Thread 4 to 6 tater tots onto each skewer and arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle the cheese over the tater tots, followed by bacon bits and half of the chopped green onion.
  5. Return the skewers to the oven and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven, garnish with the remaining green onions, and serve with a side of sour cream.

Notes

For extra crispiness, bake the tater tots directly on the oven rack instead of a baking sheet. Customize with toppings like jalapeños or avocado!
