- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 cup crushed Oreos
- Whole Oreos for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Stir in eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually mix in boiling water.
- Pour the batter into cupcake liners until about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- Beat butter until smooth, then add powdered sugar and cream. Fold in crushed Oreos to make the frosting.
- Use a piping bag to frost the cupcakes in a fun swirl pattern.
- Top each cupcake with a whole Oreo as the “ears.”

For best results, ensure ingredients are at room temperature, and avoid overmixing the batter. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
