Description
A comforting Italian dish perfect for late-night cravings, made with simple pantry staples.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Spaghetti
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Olive Oil
- 4 cloves Garlic Flakes
- 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 2 tbsp Dried Parsley
- Black Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and stir in your pasta of choice. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic turns fragrant and lightly golden—about 2-3 minutes.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the rest. Add the drained spaghetti directly into the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed for creaminess.
- Sprinkle in the dried parsley and black pepper, tasting and adjusting as desired.
- Plate the pasta hot, garnished with extra parsley or a sprinkle of cheese, if you like.
Notes
For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat with a splash of olive oil.
