Description
A creamy, layered dessert inspired by the classic banana split, perfect for gatherings or a sweet indulgence without the oven.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 4 medium bananas, sliced
- 20-ounce can of crushed pineapple (drained)
- 16 ounces Cool Whip
- 1 jar of maraschino cherries
- ½ cup crushed walnuts
- ½ cup hot fudge sauce
- 12 full graham cracker sheets (finely crushed)
- 9 tablespoons butter (melted)
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
Instructions
- Lightly coat a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until everything is well coated and holds together when pressed.
- Pour the crumb mixture into the baking dish and firmly pack it down to form a base. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, ¼ cup butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Spread this cream cheese mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust.
- Evenly distribute the sliced bananas over the cream cheese layer, pressing them down slightly.
- Add the drained crushed pineapple on top of the bananas.
- Spread the Cool Whip across the pineapple layer.
- Finally, top your dessert with crushed walnuts, maraschino cherries, and drizzle with hot fudge sauce.
- Chill for several hours or overnight before cutting and serving.
Notes
Store leftovers covered tightly in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. For a twist, substitute bananas with other fruits or try an Oreo crust instead of graham crackers.
