  2. Add the sourdough starter and salt, then knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Cover the bowl and place it in a warm spot to rise for 4-6 hours, or until doubled in size.
  4. Gently shape the dough into a round loaf and place it into a floured proofing basket. Let it rest for another 1-2 hours.
  5. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside for 30 minutes.
  6. Transfer the dough into the hot Dutch oven, cover it, and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.
