Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- ½ teaspoon instant yeast
- 2 cups warm water (around 100°F or 37°C)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and instant yeast.
- Gradually stir in warm water until a shaggy dough forms; it should be moist and a bit sticky.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours.
- After the dough has risen, dust a work surface with a bit of flour and carefully scrape the dough out onto it.
- Shape the dough into a ball, ensuring it remains a bit sticky.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured piece of parchment paper, then cover it and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C), placing a Dutch oven inside to heat for about 30 minutes.
- Carefully remove the Dutch oven, and place the dough with the parchment into it.
- Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
- After that, remove the lid and continue to bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
- Let the bread cool before slicing to ensure a perfect texture.
Notes
Experiment with whole wheat flour or add herbs and cheese for flavor variation.
