Description

Deliciously chewy oatmeal raisin cookies made with wholesome oats and sweet raisins, perfect for sharing or enjoying with your favorite beverage.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1 1/2 cups raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add vanilla and eggs, mixing well.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Stir in oats and fold in raisins.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto prepared sheets.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Let cool on the pan briefly before moving to a wire rack.

Notes

Use softened butter for best results. Avoid overmixing the dough to keep cookies tender.
