Ingredients
- Spaghetti (12 ounces)
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Minced garlic (3 cloves)
- Canned crushed tomatoes (28 ounces)
- Dried oregano (1 teaspoon)
- Fresh basil (1 cup, chopped)
- Salt and pepper, to taste

- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes, add oregano, and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes to let the flavors develop.
- Stir in the fresh basil and mix well.
- Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Serve hot, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
For variations, consider adding red pepper flakes for heat or heavy cream for a creamier sauce. Serve with a salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
