Ingredients
- Cajun Andouille Sausage (13 oz pack, cut into coins)
- Chopped Garlic (1 tbsp)
- Chicken Broth (14.5 oz can, about 2 cups)
- Heavy Cream (½ cup)
- Rotel Diced Tomatoes and Chilies (10 oz can)
- Dry Bowtie Pasta (8 oz, about 2 cups)
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese (2 cups)
- Cajun Seasoning (1 tsp)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the Cajun sausage for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned to your liking.
- Once browned, remove the sausage and place it on a paper towel-lined plate. Leave the flavorful sausage grease in the pan.
- In the same skillet, sauté the chopped garlic in the leftover grease for about a minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth, canned diced tomatoes with chilies, heavy cream, and Cajun seasoning. Stir until combined.
- Add the uncooked bowtie pasta, cover with a lid, and let it simmer on low heat for approximately 14 minutes or until the pasta is fully cooked.
- Stir in the cooked sausage and a few cups of shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. For a freezer option, let it cool before freezing.
