- 6 croissants, torn into pieces
- 8 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Gruyere)
- 1 cup cooked ham or cooked sausage, diced
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer the torn croissant pieces into the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Pour the egg mixture over the croissants, ensuring they soak well.
- Sprinkle the cooked ham or sausage, cheese, bell peppers, and green onions on top.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes, or until set and golden on top.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with fruit salad or breakfast potatoes. Best consumed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
