Description
A simple and elegant pan-seared steak infused with garlic butter for a steakhouse-quality meal at home.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs New York Strip Steaks (or Ribeye/Top Sirloin)
- 1/2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and quartered
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary
Instructions
- Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Preheat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add the oil.
- Carefully place the steaks in the skillet and sear on one side for about 4 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- Turn the steaks on their sides to sear the edges for about 1 minute each.
- Reduce heat to medium, add the butter, garlic, and rosemary. Basque the butter over the steaks for about 1 minute.
- Remove steaks from skillet and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Slice into 1/2-inch strips and serve with remaining butter sauce.
Notes
Serve with roasted vegetables, creamy mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad. Pair with red wine for a perfect combination.
