- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix flour, softened butter, and brown sugar until crumbly; press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In another bowl, whisk together corn syrup, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt until well combined.
- Stir in chopped pecans and pour the mixture over the crust.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the filling is set.
- Let cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
For a different flavor, substitute pecans with walnuts. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream for an elevated dessert.
