Description
A delightful dessert that combines the classic flavors of pecan pie with flaky crescent rolls, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, light corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and the egg. Keep aside 2 tablespoons of this mixture for later.
- Stir the chopped pecans into the remaining sugar mixture until they are fully coated.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles on your prepared baking sheet.
- Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of the pecan filling onto the widest part of each triangle, then roll them up towards the narrow end.
- Bake the rolls for about 8 minutes, just until they start to set.
- Remove them from the oven and brush each roll with the reserved sugar mixture to add a sweet glaze.
- Return to the oven and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes or until they turn lightly golden brown.
- Consider sprinkling a few more chopped pecans on top before serving!
Notes
