Description

A warm, gooey grilled cheese sandwich elevated with vibrant flavors of pesto, perfect for lunch or dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of your preferred bread (sourdough, whole grain, or classic white)
  • 2 slices of cheese (mozzarella and cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons of pesto (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 tablespoon of butter

Instructions

  1. Spread pesto on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place one slice of bread, pesto side up, in a skillet heated to medium.
  3. Add the cheese slices on top of the pesto.
  4. Cap it off with the other slice of bread, pesto side down.
  5. Butter the top slice generously.
  6. Cook for about 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is melty.
  7. Flip and repeat on the other side.
  8. Remove from heat, slice, and enjoy!

Notes

Toast the bread first for an extra crispy exterior. Mix cheeses for more flavor and add extra ingredients like tomato or avocado for a twist.
