Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a mixing bowl.
  3. Toss the chicken wings into the marinade, allowing them to soak for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Spread the marinated wings on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Mix the cornstarch and water in a small saucepan. Add some leftover marinade and cook until you achieve a glossy glaze.
  6. Once the wings are done baking, toss them in the glaze right before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider broiling the wings for the last few minutes of cooking. Marinating overnight will enhance the flavors!
