Description
A delightful fusion of tropical sweetness and savory umami, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- Marinate the Wings: Add the chicken wings to the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for maximum flavor).
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Bake: Place the marinated wings on the baking sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and caramelized.
- Garnish and Serve: Once done, serve the wings hot, topped with chopped green onions.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil the wings for 3-5 minutes after baking. Feel free to substitute chicken wings for drumsticks or use low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier option.
