Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of boneless beef (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 packet of gravy mix (your choice of flavor)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Optional: fresh herbs (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the beef pieces and season with salt and pepper; brown the beef on all sides.
  3. Once browned, remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  5. Pour in the Worcestershire sauce and beef broth, scraping up any bits from the skillet.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet and add the gravy mix; stir well to combine.
  7. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cover. Cook for 30-40 minutes until beef is tender.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or egg noodles for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days in the refrigerator or frozen for up to three months.
