Ingredients

- 500g ground meat (beef, lamb, or chicken)
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2–3 green chilies, slit
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2–3 tablespoons oil
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cooking for another minute.
- Add ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Mix in chopped tomatoes, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes soften.
- Add cubed potatoes and enough water to cover everything. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
- Stir in garam masala, taste, and adjust the seasoning. Cook for a few more minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
Notes
Best served with rice or naan. Optionally pair with a side salad or yogurt-based raita for a fuller meal.
