  • 2 cups milk

  • Butter (for greasing the baking dish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Cut the bread into cubes and layer half of the cubes at the bottom of the prepared dish. Sprinkle half of the blueberries on top.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined. Pour half of this mixture over the initial layer of bread and blueberries.
  4. Layer the remaining bread cubes and blueberries, then pour the rest of the egg mixture on top, ensuring even coverage.
  5. Allow the casserole to sit for about 30 minutes, giving it time to soak up the mixture.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and set in the center.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
