  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • ½ teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • ½ teaspoon curry powder
  • ¼ cup freshly chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • Naan bread and steamed rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine chicken pieces with salt, garlic powder, sweet paprika, and curry powder. Add Greek yogurt and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and diced onion, sautéing until fragrant.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper, heavy cream, cayenne pepper, garam masala, and the remaining curry powder. Allow the mixture to simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Cook the marinated chicken in another skillet until browned and fully cooked.
  5. Add the cooked chicken to the sauce and stir in the remaining butter. Let it simmer for a few more minutes to enhance the flavors.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra creaminess, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Adjust spice levels to preference, and serve with naan and rice.
