- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons butter, for brushing
- Parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk. Add the sugar and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.
- Mix in the melted butter and egg until well combined.
- Gradually stir in the flour, minced garlic, and salt until a dough begins to form.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Punch down the dough gently and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Allow it to rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Brush the top with melted butter and garnish with parsley if desired.
