- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Optional Searing: Sear chicken breasts in olive oil over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Prepare the Sauce: In your crockpot, combine cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning mix, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir well.
- Place Chicken in Crockpot: Add the seared (or unseared) chicken breasts into the sauce and coat them well.
- Cook: Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Shred and Add Creaminess: Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir in the sour cream until fully blended.
- Garnish and Enjoy: Top with shredded cheese and fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days or frozen for 2-3 months. Ensure leftovers are reheated to an internal temperature of 165°F.
