- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the warm milk and yeast; let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt.
- Combine the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs; mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.
- Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle.
- Spread the raspberry jam evenly over the dough, then roll it tightly into a log.
- Twist the log into a loaf shape and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and let rise for another hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow it to cool before slicing. Enjoy the delightful layers!
