Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the warm milk and yeast; let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Combine the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs; mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle.
  7. Spread the raspberry jam evenly over the dough, then roll it tightly into a log.
  8. Twist the log into a loaf shape and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  9. Cover and let rise for another hour.
  10. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
