Description
Delicious red velvet brownies that blend chocolate flavor with a stunning red hue, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 oz chopped semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 & 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/2 tablespoon red gel food coloring
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 & 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and chopped semi-sweet chocolate together in a large microwave-safe mixing bowl in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
- Stir in the granulated sugar until fully combined. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla extract, white vinegar, and red gel food coloring until well blended.
- Sift together the cocoa powder, flour, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- If using, fold in white chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-35 minutes. Use a toothpick to check for doneness; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. Drizzle melted white chocolate on top if desired.
Notes
For extra flair, mix in chopped nuts or use dark chocolate for the chips.
